Geology Walk at BAS's Hunt-Parker Sanctuary—November 15, 2003

Dr. John Moyle, geologist and President of Bronx River-Sound Shore Audubon Society, led BAS members on a walk to examine the unique geological formations within the Hunt-Parker Sanctuary. A few days earlier at the BAS November General Meeting, Dr. Moyle had explained how the topography and rock structure of Westchester County had been shaped by plate tectonics, sedimentary processes, and glaciations. During the hike , Dr. Moyle was able to point out many of the rocks and formations these activities had caused.
